Confused about recycling? UK is
6.1 items on average are disposed incorrectly in recyclable and non-recyclable bins when sorting our household waste
London has the lowest average
London recycles 34.4% of waste far less than the national average of 43.3%—which makes it the worst region in England for recycling.
Why is it hard to recycle?

Research shows that up to 76% misunderstand what recycling labels mean

And recycling bins are confusing with different colors and it changes according to boroughs
Borough websites are not helping either: they are very text heavy and confusing

Problem Statement
Individuals in London struggle with recycling because they are confused
what and how to recycle.
Define
How might we help individuals to understand better about the recycling labels/bins so that they can feel more motivated for recycling?
